In Port

Extra time in port means more time spent maintaining the ship.  The crew jumped in with putty, paint, block service and making new chocks for the rubber boat.  While at it, we took it upon ourselves to name the Carolina skiffs "Wallace and Grommet" – below is a shot of our artist-deckhand Meara painting Wallace on one.  Then the boat took fuel and ran safety drills (fire, man overboard and abandon ship) before heading further south.
