¡Vamos a Cuba!

Today, we sail for Cuba.  When we left Maine in September, most of our students had never sailed before.  Only a few spoke Spanish.  None of us knew much Cuban history.

Now we’ve mastered ship commands, competed in a schooner race and lobbied Congress about our Cuba mission.

We’ve learned to honor ship and shipmate – and especially to respect the sea.  In our last port of call down the east coast, we were welcomed warmly in Key West.

By tomorrow morning, we’ll be in Havana.  You can track our whole voyage online, or, even better, you can join our spring gap program that starts in Cuba and sails home!  Please contact us soon to begin your application.
