Small Boat Sailing

Just before a thick fog rolled in and rain arrived from far away Hurricane Jose, we sailed J-22s at Sail Maine, a local sailing non-profit.  We had a great “chalk-talk” about sailing and sailing theory led in part by some of our gap students.  This was a great opportunity for those with a stronger sailing background to share their knowledge with fellow shipmates.  Everyone had an opportunity to drive the J-22, which is a small, responsive keelboat.  We even flew the bright blue spinnaker back to port!
